Personalised football kits

A football kit needs to work for the whole team: outfield players, goalkeepers and coaching staff. At SIC Refinish, you can enquire about garments customised with your badge, names or squad numbers. To prepare a useful proposal, we start with your team list, how the clothing will be used and when you need the order.

Decide what your kit includes

Separate match kit from training and travel clothing. Shirts, shorts and socks are different order lines: check whether the quote includes all three. If you also need tracksuits or sweatshirts, list their quantities separately so you can compare equivalent proposals.

Set aside a separate line for goalkeepers and another for coaching staff. Do not assume that every garment has the same sizing or accepts the same decoration. For competitive matches, confirm colour, numbering and advertising requirements with your club or the organiser before approving the design.

Sizes and squad numbers: one record per player

Use one table to record each player's shirt size, shorts size, squad number and name exactly as it should appear. A medium from another supplier does not guarantee the same fit. Compare measurements with the proposed model's size guide and ask whether a sample can be checked before finalising the size breakdown.

For youth football, distinguish children's and adult sizes instead of converting them automatically by age. Check freedom of movement and garment length with the player. Put one person in charge of final approval to avoid duplicate numbers, misspelled names and changes scattered across separate conversations.

Badges, sponsors and personalisation methods

Send a clear badge file, preferably a vector file if you have one, along with any logos you are authorised to use. Specify front, back and sleeve positions with approximate dimensions. A layout helps you check visual priority and legibility; confirm what the proposal includes before authorising decoration.

The method depends on the fabric, stretch, colours and quantity. A different name for each player is not priced in the same way as a single badge repeated across the order. Ask for garments, shared designs and individual names or numbers to be itemised; do not assume every method suits every model.

Additional kits during the season

Keep the product reference, colour, approved artwork and original size breakdown. If someone joins the team, these details make it easier to request the same combination. Model and colour continuity depend on availability: discuss them with the first order without assuming identical replacements will always be possible.

To care for the kit, follow the garment label and the instructions for its decoration. Tell us whether players wash their own kit or the club handles it: this helps with selection and with providing consistent care instructions. There is no single washing temperature suitable for every kit.

Example order for an 18-player squad

  1. If your squad has 16 outfield players and 2 goalkeepers, create two garment groups. Add the coaching staff separately; do not include them in those 18 players.
  2. With one shirt and one pair of shorts per player, the example totals 18 shirts and 18 pairs of shorts. If everyone needs two shirts, that becomes 36 shirts but still 18 pairs of shorts. This is a calculation example, not a package or a minimum order.
  3. Break each group down by model, colour and size. Check that the size quantities add up to the total and link every name and squad number to the correct row.
  4. Before approval, check the final artwork, quantities, personalisation charges, taxes, delivery and confirmed date. Keep that version as a reference for future additions.

Before sending your enquiry

  • Player list and quantities by garment and size.
  • Badge and sponsor files, with permission to use them.
  • Home and away kit designs, if you need both.
  • Your team's indicative budget and first match date.
  • One person responsible for approving names, numbers and artwork.

Your questions answered

Can we order both children's and adult football kits?

Include both groups in your enquiry. We will check which models and sizes can be coordinated to maintain your team's identity. Available sizes are confirmed in the proposal, without assuming children's and adult sizes are equivalent.

Can each shirt have a different name and squad number?

Include them in a table alongside the relevant size. The method, dimensions and cost of that decoration are checked for the chosen garment before the order is confirmed.

Are socks and shorts included in the price?

That depends on your request and what the proposal lists. We do not advertise a kit price without defining its garments. Check each quote line to see what is included.

What is the minimum order and how long will it take?

Minimum quantities and lead times depend on the model, quantity and personalisation. Tell us the match or tournament date; feasibility will be confirmed in the quote before you place the order.

Can we add more kits halfway through the season?

You can enquire using the original order's reference and design. Availability, any minimum quantities and lead time will need to be checked at that point; continued availability of every model is not guaranteed.
