A V16 beacon's price is only comparable when you know the model and what the order includes. Avoid relying on a figure from an old article: check the current price and terms on the product page.
Compare equivalent references
Note the brand, model, documentation and pack contents. Check the reference against the DGT list; official information also explains connectivity and its duration. Check the date shown on the device.
Review the final amount
- Unit price and number of units in the pack.
- Taxes included or still to be added.
- Delivery cost and terms.
- Included items and the model's stated power supply.
Check the catalogue price
The V16 beacon page shows the available reference price and lets you enquire about order terms. Price, stock and model identification must be confirmed before buying.
Example of unit price including delivery
Imagine two offers for models you have already checked for suitability. A: one unit for €35 plus €5 delivery; B: two units for €72 including delivery. Using the same tax basis, A costs €40 per unit and B €36. These are fictional figures, not SIC Refinish prices.
If you only need one beacon, buying B means spending €72 instead of €40 even though the unit price falls. For a fleet, calculate the total required and ask whether delivery changes with quantity. Compare the actual order cost, not just the advertised discount.
Distinguish connectivity, power and extras
According to DGT guidance, at least 12 years of connectivity is included in the price. Check the service end date for the particular device. This date is separate from battery maintenance: replacing batteries does not extend the connectivity service.
Itemise any optional case, mount or service in the proposal. Before accepting an additional subscription, ask what it covers and whether it is an extra separate from the beacon’s regulated operation. Keep the quote and complete reference so that future purchases can be assessed consistently.
