Start with the workplace assessment
Share the tasks and exposure conditions with the person responsible for workplace prevention. Do not infer the required protection simply from working in a workshop or industrial setting; requirements can vary by role.
Review the garment documentation
Check markings, declared performance and the manufacturer's instructions for use, care and compatibility. Documentation must match the specific reference. Garments do not all offer the same performance, and every feature is not needed for every job.
Ask before customising
If you need to add a logo, ask for compatibility with the manufacturer's instructions to be reviewed before modifying the garment.
